On the day of treatment

It is better to refrain from lying down until bedtime or next 24-48 hours. This will help to prevent swelling and facial migration.
- Avoid vigorous exercising
It is better to avoid certain things to prevent future problems. Albeit it is said that there is no downtime for Botox, it is better to prevent exercising to keep yourself comfortable and ensure proper recovery.
- Stay away from NSAIDs or blood thinners
Using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can result in thinning of blood and cause bruising of the skin.
- Avoid smoking
It is better to avoid smoking for a day or two after you get your Botox done.
